This prestigious event is scheduled for the second day of the Arab Media Summit and will coincide with the opening of the Arab Media Forum, attracting media leaders, journalists, and professionals from across the Arab region.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Board of Directors of the Arab Media Award, led by Mona Ghanem Al Marri, convened earlier this month to finalise the winners. The selection was made following rigorous criteria to ensure excellence. Al Marri emphasised the UAE’s pivotal role in enhancing regional media standards and underscored the importance of recognising outstanding Arab media professionals. The Award, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, reflects the DPC’s dedication to fostering innovation in a rapidly changing media landscape.

Al Marri noted that the ceremony serves as a platform to honour impactful Arab media professionals and commended their achievements. She expressed confidence in Arab media’s capacity to drive positive transformation, particularly through its young leaders. Dr. Maitha Buhumaid, Secretary General of the Arab Media Award, added that the award celebrates exceptional Arab media talent and content, maintaining its reputation as the leading media accolade in the Arab world.

The ‘Media Personality of the Year’ award honours an influential Arab media figure, while the ‘Best Columnist’ award is based on defined criteria.
