EDGE and 4iG S and D Join Forces to Boost European Security Technologies

Budapest: EDGE, a global leader in advanced technology and defence, has partnered with 4iG Space and Defence Technologies (4iG S and D), a prominent Hungarian defence company, to enhance European industrial capacity for advanced security technologies. The partnership aims to establish a joint venture in Hungary, focusing on non-lethal defence technologies through EDGE's entity, CONDOR Non-Lethal Technologies (NLT). This initiative will also include the creation of a regional expertise and testing centre to support European military, law enforcement, and public security organisations.

According to Emirates News Agency, this agreement follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed in August 2025, marking a significant step forward in the collaboration on non-lethal technologies. The joint venture is set to boost local industrial capabilities, provide specialised training, and offer operational expertise across Hungary and the broader European market.

The planned centre in Hungary will offer comprehensive support for evaluating and testing equipment, operational training, and capability development. This will enable end users to effectively assess and deploy non-lethal technologies in complex security environments.

The joint venture will concentrate on the development, manufacturing, and marketing of advanced non-lethal defence solutions, such as specialised ammunition, pyrotechnics, and smart defence technologies. Establishing local production capabilities is expected to meet the growing demand for non-lethal systems that minimise collateral damage while enhancing operational efficiency in military and law enforcement settings.

This agreement underscores EDGE's strategy of expanding international industrial partnerships and supporting localised capability development. It aims to advance innovative technologies that meet evolving security needs, creating long-term value through industrial collaboration and knowledge transfer.
