Estonian Minister Highlights Gulfood 2026 as Key Platform to Boost Agri-Food Exports

Estonia: Estonia's Minister of Regional Affairs and Agriculture, Hendrik Johannes Terras, stated that his country's participation in Gulfood 2026 is a strategic move to enhance Estonian agri-food exports and tap into high-growth international markets. He emphasized the significance of this event in expanding Estonia's global trade reach.

According to Emirates News Agency, Terras, speaking on the sidelines of the exhibition in Dubai, highlighted that Gulfood provides direct access to global buyers, distributors, and decision-makers. This access positions the event as a crucial platform for strengthening international trade ties with Estonia and supporting export diversification efforts.

Terras elaborated on Estonia's presence at the event, which underscores the integrated value of its 'Northern Standard' in food production. This standard is characterized by a clean and responsibly managed environment, high-quality ingredients, full traceability, strict food safety standards, and a strong culture of transparency supported by digital governance.

He further mentioned Estonia's interest in exploring opportunities for cooperation with the UAE and the broader region, focusing on areas where food security objectives align with technological innovation and sustainable production.
