Rome: Global food prices rose in April for the third consecutive month, as reported by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO). The increase was primarily driven by higher vegetable oil prices.
According to Emirates News Agency, the FAO Food Price Index, which tracks changes in a basket of internationally traded food commodities, averaged 130.7 points in April. This marks a 1.6 percent rise from its revised level in March.
