Indonesian Child Aisyah AR Rumy Presents Young Inspiring Role Model for Girls in Quran Recitation

Dubai: The Dubai International Holy Quran Award, now in its 28th edition, continues to showcase some of the world's most remarkable Quranic talents. This year, the event highlights the participation of ten-year-old Indonesian child Aisyah Al Rumy, who has reached the final stage in the female category of the 2026 competition. Aisyah stands as an inspiring figure for young girls in the recitation of the Holy Quran.

According to Emirates News Agency, Aisyah was born in Malang on 19 November 2016 and has demonstrated exceptional talent in Quran recitation. Despite her young age, she has accumulated an impressive list of achievements. In 2023, she won first place in a district-level Holy Quran memorization competition and received the Jury Award at the Malang regional competition in 2024. She also reached the finals of the 'Hafiz Indonesia' program in 2024, achieved second place in a regional competition in the same year, and continued her success with multiple top finishes in 2025 competitions.

Aisyah's journey began when she was three years old, and her parents enrolled her in a Quran memorization school. At six, she joined Dar Al-Ukhuwwah Primary School for Quran Memorization in Malang, focusing on mastering Quran memorization and learning Arabic. Her family's support has been crucial, providing a nurturing environment that fostered her love for the Holy Quran.

Her qualification for the finals of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award 2026 marks the peak of her dedication and commitment from an early age. Aisyah's success story sends a hopeful message to Muslim children worldwide, demonstrating that youth can indeed motivate the achievement of goals.

The Dubai International Holy Quran Award has introduced a new developmental vision in its 28th edition, aiming to enhance its impact and reaffirm Dubai's leading role in promoting Quranic talents globally. This year's event includes qualitative additions to attract more talents and has increased the total prize value to over AED 12 million.
