Abu dhabi: The Higher Committee of the International Dialogue of Civilisations and Tolerance Conference has announced the completion of the official agenda for the 3rd edition of the conference, set to take place from 3rd to 5th June 2026 at Space42 Arena in Abu Dhabi under the theme, 'The Impact of New Media and AI on Family and Community.'
According to Emirates News Agency, the conference is hosted by Emirates Scholar Centre for Research and Studies and the Abrahamic Family House, in collaboration with Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities as Knowledge Partner, and supported by the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau as Destination Partner. It will feature participation from leading intellectual, academic, diplomatic, and media figures worldwide.
The committee has confirmed that the conference will feature over 206 speakers, including decision-makers, academics, media leaders, and representatives from international institutions across 120 countries, alongside more than 4,500 participants. This highlights the conference's growing international reputation as a platform for cultural and intellectual dialogue, promoting mutual understanding among societies.
The three-day official agenda includes keynote speeches and specialised panel discussions focused on media, artificial intelligence, and intercultural dialogue, with contributions from prominent international figures.
The conference underscores the UAE and Abu Dhabi's commitment to promoting human values and cultural openness, reinforcing their role as a global hub for intellectual and cultural dialogue. The UAE has effectively demonstrated a model in managing cultural diversity, turning it into a source of strength that supports human understanding and cultural rapprochement.
Dr. Seppe Verheyen, Interfaith Institute Department Director at Abrahamic Family House, remarked on the importance of understanding and dialogue in an era shaped by artificial intelligence and new media. Dr. Firas Habbal, President of Emirates Scholar Centre for Research and Studies, highlighted the challenges posed by AI in shaping human awareness and the importance of maintaining a balance that protects family values and social cohesion.
The timing of this edition is crucial as global challenges intersect with the need to rebuild trust and understanding among societies. The conference invites global participation to shape a future based on mutual respect and shared understanding, emphasizing the need for wisdom and balanced dialogue.
The Higher Committee also calls on government entities, private sector institutions, and academic organisations to engage in the conference's activities, panel discussions, and workshops, advancing intercultural dialogue and the exchange of expertise and cultural perspectives.
