Joint Statement by Islamic, Arab Countries and Organisations Condemns US Ambassador’s Remarks

Abu dhabi: The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Trkiye, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Lebanese Republic, the Syrian Arab Republic, and the State of Palestine, along with the secretariats of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the League of Arab States (LAS), and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), have expressed strong condemnation and concern over statements made by the United States Ambassador to Israel. The ambassador suggested that it would be acceptable for Israel to control territories belonging to Arab states, including the occupied West Bank.

According to Emirates News Agency, these countries and organizations have categorically rejected the remarks, calling them a violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. They warned that such statements threaten regional security and stability.

The Ministries emphasized that the ambassador's comments contradict the vision of US President Donald J. Trump and the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, which aim to de-escalate tensions and promote a political resolution for a Palestinian state. They cautioned that endorsing control over others' lands undermines peace efforts and incites further conflict.

The Ministries reiterated that Israel holds no sovereignty over the Occupied Palestinian Territory or any other occupied Arab lands. They rejected any attempts to annex the West Bank, separate it from the Gaza Strip, or expand settlement activities in the territories. The statement underscored their opposition to any threats to Arab states' sovereignty.

The joint statement warned that Israel's expansionist policies and actions could lead to increased violence and conflict, calling for an end to provocative statements. The Ministries reaffirmed their commitment to the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and the creation of an independent state based on the pre-1967 borders, along with the end of the occupation of all Arab lands.
