Abu dhabi: Jordan's air defence systems intercepted and neutralized four missiles that entered the kingdom's airspace from Iran early on Monday, an official military source at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army stated.
According to Emirates News Agency, the General Command, in a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), confirmed that there were no casualties or material damage resulting from the incident. The Royal Engineering Corps teams were deployed to secure and remove missile debris that fell across several locations, adhering to approved technical and security procedures to ensure public safety.
The military source emphasized that any attempts to undermine state sovereignty or violate Jordanian airspace will be met with decisive force, in line with established rules of engagement and national interests. The source reaffirmed that the military remains committed to taking all necessary measures to protect the homeland.
