Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Approves AED42 Billion Expansion in Abu Dhabi’s Liveability Strategy

Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has underscored the leadership's commitment to advancing the quality of life for Emirati families through enhanced community services and improved infrastructure. This announcement was made during the Abu Dhabi Executive Council meeting, which Sheikh Khaled chaired.

According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Khaled approved a significant AED42 billion expansion of the Liveability Strategy aimed at enhancing quality of life with seamless access to essential facilities. The meeting reviewed the outcomes of the strategy's first phase, supervised by the Department of Municipalities and Transport. Initial results indicated an increase in residential neighbourhood integration from 67 percent in 2023 to 81 percent in 2025.

More than 60 projects, valued at AED12 billion, were identified as pivotal, including the development of over 200 parks, sports courts, schools, mosques, and community majlises. Additionally, extensive work on walking paths, cycling tracks, street lighting, and beautification projects was completed.

The meeting also evaluated efforts by the Department of Government Enablement - Abu Dhabi to incorporate AI technologies into government operations, aiming to boost efficiency and service quality. Sheikh Khaled was briefed on the Abu Dhabi Government Digital Strategy 2025-2027, supported by AED13 billion, which aspires to position the emirate as a leading AI-powered government by 2027.

Preparations for the launch of TAMM 4.0 at GITEX Global 2025 were also discussed. This platform will enable smart, interconnected AI-driven government services. Furthermore, the introduction of AI Majalis aims to foster dialogue and awareness about AI's responsible use.

The Department of Government Enablement - Abu Dhabi shared its progress in upskilling the government workforce in AI transformation, noting that 95 percent of employees have completed AI training. New Chief Digital and AI Officer roles will be established to promote AI adoption and governance.

Sheikh Khaled emphasized the continued use of advanced technologies and AI solutions to enhance government services, aligning with the Abu Dhabi Government Digital Strategy 2025-2027. He also stressed the importance of accelerating residential infrastructure projects to further improve services for citizens and residents.
