Abu Dhabi:The inaugural Liveability and Investment Exhibition (LIVEX 2026) has commenced at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi. The event, organized by the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), will continue until October 1. It aims to bring together government leaders, investors, developers, entrepreneurs, and experts from around the world to showcase solutions and projects focused on enhancing quality of life, expanding investment opportunities, and developing sustainable cities and communities.
According to Emirates News Agency, Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, inaugurated the exhibition. The event saw the presence of senior officials, representatives from government entities, and the private sector, highlighting Abu Dhabi's role as a key player in urban development and investment.
In his opening remarks, Al Shorafa emphasized Abu Dhabi's ongoing commitment, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the directives of H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to build upon the development legacy of the UAE's Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. He highlighted the goal of making Abu Dhabi the world's most liveable destination by integrating advanced infrastructure, education, healthcare services, and public spaces, while also fostering community belonging and preserving local identity.
Al Shorafa noted that achieving this ambition necessitates integrated government efforts and enhanced partnerships with the private sector, underscoring the connection between liveability and investment. Attractive living environments, he said, draw talent, encourage population stability, and support business growth, while investments in infrastructure and services bolster thriving communities and a robust economy.
LIVEX has been launched as an international platform for exchanging knowledge and expertise, exploring cooperation opportunities, and measuring success through the partnerships, projects, and ideas it generates and their tangible impact on people's lives.
Over the course of three days, LIVEX 2026 will present initiatives, projects, and investment opportunities across themes including Liveability, Culture, Education, Economy, Energy, and Health. The exhibition will explore the future of urban development and the role of innovation and technology in advancing cities and enhancing community wellbeing. The program features strategic panel discussions, presentations of development projects, and meetings that bring together decision-makers, investors, and representatives from key sectors, facilitating expertise exchange, cooperation exploration, and partnership establishment to reinforce Abu Dhabi's standing as a global hub for liveability and investment.
