Mohammed bin Rashid Approves 4,631 Residential Land Plots Valued at AED5.3 Billion for Citizens in Dubai

Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has approved the allocation of 4,631 residential land plots, valued at AED5.3 billion, for Emirati citizens in Dubai. Spanning over 71 million square feet across the Al Eyas, Latifa City, and Mushrif areas, these plots are part of a citizen housing initiative aimed at fostering integrated residential communities and enhancing the quality of life for Emiratis.

According to Emirates News Agency, the residential plot allocation will be facilitated through the Emirati platform on the DubaiNow app within the coming week. His Highness emphasized that providing suitable housing for every Emirati family is a central priority of Dubai's development strategy. This initiative aligns with urban development projects designed to cultivate vibrant communities, ensuring citizens lead fulfilling lives that support both their wellbeing and social stability.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed remarked on the approval, highlighting the strategic vision of placing UAE citizens at the forefront of development priorities. He envisioned Dubai as the world's best city for family life by offering a leading urban ecosystem that integrates a social environment with advanced housing infrastructure and services. By addressing citizens' current needs and future aspirations, Dubai aims to remain a city that nurtures dreams and offers a stable living environment for all families.

The new residential plots are part of a comprehensive development vision that aims to create modern residential communities by implementing future urban planning standards. These plans include linking green and open spaces to ensure a safe and healthy life while encouraging social interaction. The communities will have easy access to integrated service centres and sustainable infrastructure, aligning with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan's goal of achieving sustainable, people-centric urban development that enhances quality of life and boosts the emirate's global competitiveness.

Eng. Marwan bin Ghalita, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, affirmed that the approval supports Dubai's sustainable urban development. It reflects His Highness Sheikh Mohammed's dedication to enhancing citizens' welfare by meeting their housing needs within integrated urban environments. Dubai Municipality is committed to creating future-ready residential communities supported by sustainable infrastructure and services that offer the world's best living experience while promoting stability and growth in line with the Dubai Social Agenda 33 objectives.

The allocation includes 2,540 residential plots in the Al Eyas area, covering 39 million square feet, designed with advanced infrastructure and amenities such as mosques, a community neighbourhood Majlis, retail centres, a school, and an early childhood centre. To enhance residents' quality of life, the area will include parks, recreational facilities, and a dedicated green path with cycling tracks connecting all neighbourhoods.

Additionally, 1,761 residential plots have been allocated in Latifa City, spanning 28 million square feet, featuring mosques, parks, a green path, retail centres, a school, an early childhood centre, a community neighbourhood Majlis, and a Quran memorisation centre. The Mushrif area will have 330 residential plots spread over 4 million square feet, including two mosques, a family park, a retail centre, and various infrastructure amenities.
