Nigeria’s Health Minister Explores Healthcare Collaboration in Dubai

Dubai: Nigerias Minister of Health, Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako, visited Aster DM Healthcare in Dubai to discuss potential global healthcare collaborations. The visit was geared towards exploring opportunities in healthcare training, capacity building, and knowledge sharing between Nigeria's Ministry of Health and Aster DM Healthcare. The leadership team of Aster DM Healthcare welcomed the delegation, offering a tour of facilities including Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital, Aster Hospital in Al Qusais, Aster Pharmacy stores, and Medcare Medical Centre in Mirdif. The delegation engaged with senior clinicians and technology teams, who highlighted Aster's clinical services, digital innovations, and quality programs. The delegation was impressed by Aster's specialized initiatives, such as critical cardiac care, the WalkAgain robotic rehabilitation program, and healthcare technology for women and children. The advanced facilities for cardiology, neurology, oncology, and orthopedic specializations were also noteworthy. Dr. Salako expressed satisfaction with Aster DM Healthcare's commitment to quality and patient safety. He noted the potential for collaboration in training and innovation, anticipating a partnership to enhance healthcare capacity in Nigeria.
