Dubai:Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has upgraded Mahboub, its virtual assistant, utilizing Agentic AI technology to streamline the customer experience and facilitate the completion of RTA services through a unified conversational platform. This upgraded version is being prepared for public rollout as part of RTA's Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2030.
According to Wam, Mahboub leverages Agentic AI to coordinate and execute services that involve interconnected steps, beyond the information and services it currently provides. The system activates specialized Agentic AI to manage procedures such as paying vehicle fines and renewing vehicle registration, tailored to each customer's needs.
The system allows customers to complete these processes within a single conversation, incorporating the UAE PASS digital identity for verification and the Dubai Sadad platform for payment. The initial focus is on vehicle licensing services, including vehicle registration renewal, vehicle fines payment, issuance of clearance certificates, and renewal of number plate reservations, with support in both Arabic and English.
Mahboub aims to minimize the need for customers to switch between pages and channels and reduce the number of steps required to complete transactions, ultimately saving time and effort. The development is being conducted in compliance with RTA's governance and cybersecurity procedures.
This enhancement underscores RTA's commitment to developing leading, customer-centric digital services and aims to bolster Dubai's reputation as a global leader in smart government services.
