The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, Friday, the destruction of two Ukrainian Su-25 fighting aircraft and 26 drones in separate Ukrainian regions under Russian control.
The Ministry said in a statement: "The air defense shot down two Ukrainian Su-25 aircraft, one in the skies of the Malaya Tokmashka region of Zaporozhye province, and the other in the airspace of the Verolubova region of the Donetsk People's Republic."
The statement added that the Russian operational aviation, missile forces and artillery struck, yesterday, Thursday, the concentration points of human forces and military equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 143 regions.
It pointed out that 26 Ukrainian drones were destroyed in separate areas of Zaporozhye province and the Donetsk People's Republic.
It continued, "On the Zaporozhye axis, units of the Russian Forces Group, with the support of artillery, in the Rabotino district of Zaporozhye Oblast, repulsed two attacks of the Ukrainian army."
It stated that the losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to 195 military personnel, two infantry fighting vehicles, three military vehicles, a Polish-made Krab cannon, an American-made M-777 cannon, and another British-made L-119.
