Abu Dhabi:Schneider Electric and PureHealth have announced a strategic partnership aimed at advancing sustainability, digital innovation, and operational excellence throughout healthcare facilities and infrastructure.
According to Wam, this collaboration will see Schneider Electric providing PureHealth with access to its EcoStruxure Resource Advisor platform. This platform will enable PureHealth to manage and consolidate sustainability data, supporting its science-based Net Zero 2040 target by addressing Scope 1, Scope 2, and relevant Scope 3 emissions.
The partnership will allow PureHealth to enhance energy efficiency through advanced energy management, digital transformation, and AI, including IoT-enabled monitoring, predictive maintenance, and ESG data management. Additionally, sustainability advisory services will cover sustainable building design, green building certifications, and circular economy practices.
Olivier Blum, CEO of Schneider Electric, highlighted the potential for innovative solutions that combine the expertise of both companies to accelerate decarbonization and operational performance within healthcare ecosystems. Shaista Asif, Group CEO of PureHealth, emphasized the importance of embedding sustainability in healthcare design and operation for long-term performance and improved health outcomes.
The collaboration aligns with the UAE's climate agenda, which includes a commitment to net zero by 2050 and a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. The partnership's initiatives will support these national goals, particularly in Abu Dhabi, where healthcare sector targets include a 20 percent reduction in carbon emissions by 2030 and net zero by 2050. PureHealth has also committed to achieving net zero by 2040, having already reduced its greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 37 percent between 2022 and 2024.
