Sharjah: His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Emiri Decree establishing the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). The decree appoints Abdullah Sultan Mohammed Al Owais as the chairman of the reconstituted Board.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Board will include several notable members such as Sheikh Majid bin Faisal bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Ahmed Mohammed Obaid Eissa Al Naboodah, Jamal Mohammed Sultan Binhuwaidin, and Halima Humaid Ali Al Owais, among others. The decree specifies that the members will serve a four-year term, starting from the date of the Board's formation, with the option to extend their tenure for additional periods.
The decree also mentions that after the expiration of its term, the Board will continue to oversee its responsibilities until a new Board is appointed. Furthermore, members whose terms have ended may be reappointed to serve again.
