Dubai:His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, presided over a ceremony to honour the winners of the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Excellence Award 2026. The event celebrated government entities, leaders, and professionals recognized for their outstanding contributions and achievements.
According to Emirates News Agency, the ceremony was attended by prominent figures including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence. The awards recognized federal entities and individuals who have made significant impacts in government performance and advanced national priorities.
Among the highlights was the presentation of the Mohammed bin Rashid Sash to His Highness Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, honouring his lifetime of national service. The Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs were recognized with the Leading Federal Entity Award for Excellence in Sustainability. Other awards included the Best Entity Contributing to UAE's Global Leadership, won by the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority, and the Best Entity in Adopting Innovative Solutions, awarded to the Ministry of Interior.
The Prime Minister's Medals were also distributed, recognizing individual excellence in various categories such as Best Young Employee, Best Employee in Future Jobs, and Best Chief AI Officer. The evaluation cycle for the awards involved 30 federal government entities and applied a comprehensive methodology focusing on results and impact, assessing performance from multiple perspectives.
