Sheraa Champions Startup Innovation at Make it in the Emirates Forum

Abu Dhabi: The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre (Sheraa) is actively participating in the Make it in the Emirates Forum 2025, hosted at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from May 19 to 22. The forum serves as a pivotal national platform in the UAE for industrial advancement, gathering government stakeholders, industry leaders, and innovators to shape the future of the country's manufacturing sector, accelerate localisation, and explore new opportunities for investment and entrepreneurship.

According to Emirates News Agency, Sheraa aims to spotlight a diverse range of startups advancing innovative industrial solutions. This initiative highlights startups that are producing market-ready products and contributing to the future of the UAE's industrial landscape. Sara Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi, CEO of Sheraa, emphasized the center's commitment to placing startups at the core of the UAE's manufacturing and industrial transformation. She highlighted the role of the Sheraa Center of Excellence for Advanced Manufacturing in cultivating a pipeline of founder-led ventures poised to make significant contributions to the industry. Sheraa offers entrepreneurs tailored support, from product development to access to industrial networks, ensuring that innovation in Sharjah evolves into viable manufacturing solutions.

Sheraa's showcase features a portfolio of startups that exemplify how founder-led innovation can deliver tangible outcomes for the UAE's industrial future. Included are Paltic Works, a social enterprise promoting a zero-plastic waste culture in Lebanon and the wider region; NRSAA (FZC), a startup utilizing advanced technology for early detection and monitoring of vital signs; SpacePoint, which provides educational satellite kits inspiring STEM careers and supporting climate change monitoring; and FUSE EV Conversions LLC, which is driving the UAE's shift to sustainable mobility through electric conversion of commercial fleets and classic vehicles.

Also part of the lineup are Masar Technology, offering services from prototyping to full-service 3D modeling and printing, and Leukeather, which presents a vegetal leather alternative promoting sustainable fashion. Together, these ventures contribute to the UAE's industrial growth, sustainability goals, and knowledge-driven economy.

Sheraa will also feature NoorNation, the winner of the AgriTech track in the Access Sharjah Challenge 2024. In collaboration with the Sharjah Department of Agriculture and Livestock (DAL), NoorNation is implementing its LifeBox system, a solar-powered water desalination and pumping solution for clean irrigation and drinking water. LifeBox enables real-time water management, providing a sustainable solution that addresses water scarcity and reduces CO2 emissions by eliminating diesel-powered irrigation.

Additionally, the Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with Sheraa, is organizing workshops aimed at empowering creative entrepreneurs with essential business and branding skills. Led by industry experts, these sessions cover business development fundamentals, brand creation, and marketing strategies for artisans. These workshops offer practical insights to help creative entrepreneurs build sustainable businesses and enhance their brand presence.
