Talabat UAE Users Empowered to Contribute to Global Hunger Campaign

According to Emirates News Agency, the campaign was initially launched during Ramadan by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. Its objective is to raise at least AED1 billion to combat childhood hunger globally. talabat app users have the option to donate amounts ranging from AED10 to AED500 to support this initiative, focusing on aiding children at risk of hunger in the world's most vulnerable regions, especially those affected by natural disasters and conflicts. Current statistics indicate that every minute, five children under the age of five succumb to malnutrition and hunger worldwide.

Donations can be made by downloading the talabat app from Google Play Store, Apple's App Store, or Huawei's AppGallery. Within the app, users can access the "Give Back" section to select the Edge of Life campaign. This charitable effort encourages community involvement to aid in saving millions of children from hunger, promoting values of compassion and solidarity, while highlighting the UAE's significant humanitarian role.

Managed under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), the campaign collaborates with UNICEF, Save the Children, the Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), and Action Against Hunger. Simonida Subotic, Vice President and Managing Director at talabat UAE, expressed talabat's pride in supporting the Edge of Life campaign, noting the ease of making donations through their platform as a testament to their commitment to meaningful social impact.

The campaign continues to accept donations from both individuals and institutions through multiple channels, including its official website (www.edgeoflife.ae) and a dedicated call center (800 4999). Contributions can also be made via bank transfers to the campaign's account with Emirates Islamic Bank (IBAN: AE940340003708472909222), SMS donations, and platforms like the DubaiNow app, YallaGive.com, and Dubai's Jood community contributions platform.
