The Minister of Communications announces the provision of a SIM card that provides local and international calling service and free internet for Arbaeen visitors

The Minister of Communications, Hayam Al-Yasiri, announced the provision of a SIM card that provides local and international calling service and free internet during the Arbaeen visit.

Al-Yasiri said in a press conference regarding the preparations for the Arbaeen visit, today: "The Ministry began preparing for the Arbaeen visit several weeks ago, and we formed an operations room to prepare the requirements for the visit under our leadership.

She added: "We directed the development and temporary extension of an aerial fiber-optic network that extends from the borders to the visitors' paths, in addition to reducing internet prices for mobile companies and companies that volunteer to provide the service for free."

Al-Yasiri continued: "The prices of capacities for Zain have been reduced in exchange for reducing internet prices for visitors in the form of free and reduced (packages), noting the provision of a SIM card that provides local and international communication service and free internet."

Al-Yasiri indicated: "These services will be available to every visitor who enters from countries (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iran, Lebanon)."

She pointed out: "The company (Super Cell) for the Internet provided a free internet service in the vicinity of the sanctuary of the two Imams, and it is on its way to provide this service with the company (Iraq Cell) in the governorates of Najaf and Karbala."

Al-Yasiri concluded the conference, pledging: "We will provide full support to all companies that provide the Internet, which will be reflected in the provision of services to visitors."
