UAE Ambassador Strengthens Diplomatic Ties with Suriname

Paramaribo: Sharif Essa Al Suwaidi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Brazil, has officially presented his credentials as the Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Suriname to Dr. Jennifer Geerlings-Simons, President of Suriname. The ceremony marks a significant step in the diplomatic relations between the United Arab Emirates and Suriname.

According to Emirates News Agency, during the presentation, Al Suwaidi conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, to President Geerlings-Simons. They expressed their hopes for continued progress and prosperity for Suriname's government and its people.

In response, President Geerlings-Simons extended her greetings to the UAE's leaders and expressed similar wishes for the UAE's ongoing advancement. She also wished Ambassador Al Suwaidi success in his new role and reaffirmed Suriname's willingness to support his mission in strengthening bilateral relations.

Al Suwaidi expressed his pride in representing the UAE in Suriname and emphasized his commitment to enhancing the cooperation between the two countries. He highlighted the importance of developing bilateral relations across various fields, contributing to the mutual aspirations of both nations.

The meeting also included discussions on potential areas of cooperation and ways to enhance the partnership between the UAE and Suriname, aiming to serve the interests of both countries and their peoples.
