Abu dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with His Excellency Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, during the latter's working visit to the UAE. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the two nations, emphasizing sectors such as economy, trade, renewable energy, technology, artificial intelligence, sustainability, food security, and culture.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting took place at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi, where the leaders exchanged Ramadan greetings and expressed hopes for blessings and prosperity for both countries during the holy month. They also marked the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations, which began in 1976, as an opportunity to further deepen ties for mutual prosperity.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reiterated the progress in UAE-Indonesia relations, which are based on mutual trust and shared interests. He emphasized the UAE's dedication to fostering economic and development partnerships with Indonesia to benefit both nations.
The discussion also covered regional and international issues, highlighting the need to strengthen peace and stability globally and promote political solutions to regional crises.
The meeting included several high-ranking officials, such as H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; and Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure.
