UAE President Participates in Eid Al-Adha Prayers at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

Abu dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan performed the Eid Al-Adha prayers at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. Joining him were prominent members of the UAE leadership, including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and other distinguished officials and worshippers.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Eid sermon delivered by Dr Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, focused on the theme 'Our Eid is sincerity and sacrifice'. He emphasized the importance of honesty and its profound impact on both individuals and society. Dr Al Darei noted that honesty is a fundamental pillar of trust, which in turn strengthens societies and facilitates the development of civilizations.

The sermon underscored that the UAE's leadership has consistently demonstrated honesty and unity in its efforts to build a resilient and stable nation. This sense of sincerity and loyalty, he said, is vital for the nation's prosperity and defense. Dr Al Darei further highlighted that such values are manifested through various roles within society, including parents raising their children, teachers committed to their educational missions, and employees fulfilling their duties with integrity.

Following the prayer, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan exchanged Eid greetings with the worshippers. The gathering concluded with His Highness and the Sheikhs reciting Al Fatiha in honor of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
