Hangzhou: A joint Emirati-Chinese delegation, including Hussain Ibrahim Al Hammadi, UAE Ambassador to China; Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism; Sheng Qiuping, Vice Minister of Commerce of China; and Zhou Xiangjun, Director-General of the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, inaugurated the UAE Pavilion at the 4th Global Digital Trade Expo in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China.
According to Emirates News Agency, the opening ceremony included a documentary that highlighted the UAE's journey, focusing on its achievements across various fields. It also showcased the nation's rich heritage, modern advancements, and future potential. Al Hammadi emphasized the UAE's strategic vision to enhance its role as a global hub for digital trade and services. He stressed the importance of expanding cooperation with China and other countries.
Al Hammadi mentioned that the UAE Pavilion features 10 exhibitors from leading national institutions and companies, presenting the latest solutions in digital economy, e-commerce, and innovative technologies. He announced that the Emirati delegation includes approximately 80 participants from various sectors, demonstrating the UAE's dedication to fostering international partnerships in the digital economy.
The UAE Ambassador expressed optimism that the expo will open new avenues for collaboration between the UAE and China, contributing to their shared development journey and creating opportunities for investment and knowledge exchange. Following the opening ceremony, the UAE and Chinese delegations toured the UAE Pavilion, where exhibitors provided detailed presentations of their services and products, attracting significant interest from visitors.
