UAE’s ‘Make A Wish’ Foundation Resumes Humanitarian Efforts in Yemen

Aden: The UAE's 'Make-A-Wish' Foundation has announced the resumption of its humanitarian efforts in Yemen by granting wishes to five children with cancer at Al-Sadaqah Hospital in Aden. This initiative underscores the Foundation's commitment to continuing its mission amidst ongoing challenges in the region.

According to Emirates News Agency, the children's wishes included receiving the latest electronic devices, such as smartphones, providing them moments of joy and alleviating some of the burdens of their illness. This effort marks a significant step in the Foundation's ongoing work in the region.

Hani Al-Zubaidi, CEO of the 'Make-A-Wish' Foundation, stated, "With every wish we fulfill, we plant a new seed of hope in the hearts of children and their families. We have fulfilled 605 wishes in Yemen over the past years, and our return to grant more is a living embodiment of our deep belief that hope is not just a feeling-it is a healing energy that revives spirits and lights the paths of recovery in the darkest moments." He emphasized the Foundation's renewed commitment in the Year of Community 2025 to transform community support into a tangible reality that impacts lives.

Al-Zubaidi further affirmed that the United Arab Emirates continues to demonstrate its humanitarian leadership under its wise leadership. He highlighted that the nation's efforts prove that hope transcends borders and that social responsibility is a core value embraced as a way of life.
