US Dollar Declines Against Major Currencies

New york: The US dollar experienced a decline during today's trading session as it weakened against a basket of major currencies. The euro remained steady at US$1.1611, and the British pound showed little change, standing at US$1.3430.

According to Emirates News Agency, the New Zealand dollar saw an increase, reaching US$0.5833, while the Australian dollar maintained its position at US$0.7066. The US Dollar Index, which measures the dollar against a group of major currencies, fell to 99.53 points, losing some of the recent gains attributed to safe-haven demand.

In other trading, the Japanese yen was observed at 160.43 yen per US dollar, reflecting the current currency market trends.
