أعلنت مؤسسة الوليد للإنسانية، والتي يرأس مجلس أمنائها صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير الوليد بن طلال آل سعود، عن توقيع اتفاقية شراكة ثلاثية بينها وبين وزارة الشؤون البلدية والقروية والإسكان، ومؤسسة الإسكان التنموي الأهلية (سكن” بهدف توفير مساكن ملائمة للأسر الأشد حاجة لتحقيق الاستقرار الأسري للمستفيدين من المشروع، وزيادة تملك المواطنين للمسكن، وتوفير وسيلة تنقل وتمكين وتنمية للأسر المستفيدة بميزانية قدرها 2 مليار ريال سعودي.

تهدف هذه الشراكة الاستراتيجية المستدامة إلى دعم أهداف رؤية المملكة 2030 وتبرز أهمية التعاون بين القطاعات الحكومية وغير الربحية والتأثير الإيجابي على اقتصاد المملكة. وسعياَ لرفع مساهمة القطاع غير الربحي في إجمالي الناتج المحلي ولدعم مشاريع الإسكان التنموي في جميع مناطق المملكة ومحافظاتها، تعاونت المؤسسة مع شركائها بهدف تحسين مستوى المعيشة للمواطنات والمواطنين السعوديين، والحد من تكاليف السكن ومصاريف التنقلات. كما يعد هذا المشروع من أكبر مبادرات المؤسسة، حيث يستهدف المواطنات والمواطنين السعوديين ممنتنطبقعليهمضوابطالدعمالسكني ومعاييرواشتراطاتاختيارالمستفيدين.

ويوفر المشروع 10 آلاف مسكن و10 آلاف سيارة خلال خمس سنوات قابلة للتمديد لمدة مماثلة، في جميع مناطق المملكة العربية السعودية للأسر الأكثر احتياجاً.

وتم توقيع الاتفاقية بحضور رئيس مجلس أمناء مؤسسة الوليد للإنسانية صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير الوليد بن طلال آل سعود، ومعالي الأستاذ ماجد بن عبد الله الحقيل وزير الشؤون البلدية والقروية والإسكان، وقام بتوقيع الاتفاقية كلٌّ من الأمين العام لمؤسسة الوليد للإنسانية، صاحبة السمو الملكي الأميرة لمياء بنت ماجد اَل سعود، ومعالي نائب الوزير لوزارة الشؤون البلدية والقروية والإسكان المهندس عبدالله بن محمد البدير، ورئيس مجلس الأمناء لمؤسسة الإسكان التنموي الأهلية، الدكتور زياد بن عثمان الحقيل.

القدرة على التنقل والعائلة حافزان رئيسيان لتزايد الاهتمام بالجنسية المزدوجة في المغرب

لندن, 11 تموز/يوليو، 2021 / PRNewswire/ — حسب مكتب الاستشارات القانونية الذي مقره لندن، سي أس غلوبال بارتنرز يمثل المواطنون المغاربة أكثر من نصف الاستفسارات التي تصله عن الجنسية الثانية من منطقة شمال أفريقيا. ويقول مدير المكتب بول سنغ إن الحوافز الرئيسية لذلك هي تنامي الأعمال وسوق ريادة الأعمال في البلاد، وهو ما زاد الحاجة إلى السفر الدولي.

تقليديًا، نظرًا للعدد المحدود من البلدان التي يسمح لحاملي جواز السفر المغربي بالدخول إليها بدون تأشيرة أو بتأشيرة عند الوصول، يحتاج المسافرون المغاربة إلى التقدم للحصول على التأشيرات مسبقًا والانتظار لعدة أشهر في بعض الحالات. من خلال برامج الجنسية عن طريق الاستثمار، يحصل المتقدمون الذين يتم فحصهم بنجاح على الجنسية الثانية للبلد الذي يستثمرون فيه ويمكنهم التقدم للحصول على جواز سفر ثان فيه. تسمح معظم البلدان التي لديها برامج الجنسية عن طريق الاستثمار، مثل سانت كيتس ونيفيس ، للمواطنين بالوصول إلى ثلاثة أضعاف الوجهات الدولية بجواز سفرها، بما في ذلك مجموعة متنوعة من مراكز الأعمال العالمية، مما يجعل السفر للعمل عملية خالية من المتاعب.

Emirates Food Security Council holds second meeting for 2021 to discuss post-COVID progress

ABU DHABI, The Emirates Food Security Council held its second meeting in 2021 to discuss its commitment to ensuring that citizens and residents have ready access to adequate amounts of nutritious food at affordable prices, with a particular emphasis on food security during the COVID-19 pandemic. During the meeting, the Food and Water Security Office presented the food trade data for 2020, which showed comprehensive growth in all food trade indicators. In 2020, food imports grew by 22.8 percent, exports by 49.7 percent, and re-exports by 12.7 percent, compared to 2019. The data also showed that 2020 was the highest performing of the past five years.

The meeting’s agenda included a review of the recommendations from the council’s previous meetings and related achievements during the intervening period, as well as a presentation of the UAE’s food trade data in 2020 and an assessment of the Food Price Index of the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organisation.

Chaired by Mariam Almheiri, Minister of State for Food and Water Security, the meeting was held virtually, with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, the Ministry of Health and Prevention, the Ministry of Education, the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority, the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, the Dubai Municipality, the Sharjah Health Authority, the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, the Umm Al Qaiwain Municipality, the Ras Al Khaimah Environment Protection and Development Authority, and the Fujairah Municipality.

During the meeting, Almheiri affirmed that the UAE’s interest in food security is growing, in light of the global challenges that require finding practical solutions to the issues affecting the entire food value chain, noting that the council is working to translate the vision and directives of the country’s leadership into relevant projects, initiatives and procedures.

“The UAE has proven its ability to face and overcome various challenges, especially during this current critical period. We have succeeded in establishing frameworks for building a resilient food system infrastructure ready to deal with rapidly changing circumstances. The council’s business model is an example of joint cooperation, through which we strive to enhance national food security and contribute to the UAE’s sustainable development processes, as part of the preparations for the next 50 years,” she said.

“Through our joint efforts, we look forward to enhancing local food production in the UAE, to improve our self-sufficiency in several strategic commodities, while upgrading our infrastructure to ensure the advancement of the food supply chain and facilitates food trade. We believe that the support of our leadership and our innovative initiatives, such as the Food Tech Valley, will help transform the UAE into a leading international hub for innovation-driven food security,” she added.

The office then reviewed the Food and Agriculture Organisation’s Food Price Index.

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority reviewed the Agri-Food Data Dashboard, which contains all data related to food, such as population and consumption, local production, food prices and trade.

The meeting assessed the work of the National Committee to Facilitate Global Food Trade and Diversify Food Import Sources, headed by the Ministry of Economy, and its members discussed the economic feasibility of providing modern farms with carbon dioxide to improve their agricultural productivity.

DCD, Dubai’s Committee for Building Permit Procedures Development sign agreement

DUBAI, Brigadier General Jamal bin Aded Al Muhairi, Assistant Director-General for Resources and Support Services at Dubai Civil Defence, and Engineer Marwan Abdullah Al Mohammad, Chairman of Dubai’s Committee for Building Permit Procedures Development, signed an agreement to establish a single window for the accreditation of building materials and systems in the emirate.

The agreement creates a framework for both organisations to work together to simplify the procedures for the accreditation of building materials and systems in addition to integrating the services provided by Dubai Civil Defence and Dubai Municipality, and digitising the accreditation service.

Engineer Al Mohammad said the agreement is aligned with Dubai Municipality’s strategic objectives of enhancing customer satisfaction levels and expediting the procedures for issuing building permits. Establishing the single window reflects the committee’s efforts to streamline procedures for processing building permits, he noted.

Brigadier Gen. Al Muhairi said the agreement is part of the Dubai Government’s commitment to providing integrated smart services that meet the needs of customers and investors and advance the emirate’s sustainable development plans. The agreement is a key initiative that contributes to raising the efficiency of government procedures in the construction sector, he added.

State-of-the-art Vertical Farm launched in Dubai Industrial City

DUBAI, Sokovo has today signed an agreement with Dubai Industrial City, one of the region’s largest manufacturing and logistics hub, to establish a vertical farm that will produce thousands of tonnes of leafy greens, fruits and vegetables per year.

The indoor farm has a plot size of more than 100,000 sq ft, with a total built-up area covering more than 25,000 sq ft. Sokovo will grow fresh kale, spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, strawberries and melons, supplying hundreds of hypermarkets, hotels and top chefs across the country. The industry is attracting and nurturing talents that are bolstering the UAE’s innovation-driven food security strategy as vertical farming booms nationwide.

The environmentally-friendly hydroponic facility will be built with a retractable sunroof to maximise natural light and reduce electricity consumption. Water will be responsibly used to provide the necessary nutrients to the crops and maintain quality and freshness.

State-of-the-art processing and sorting equipment will sanitise and pack the produce, creating a fast and efficient farm-to-fork delivery system. Rotating seven-metre-tall towers will also be used to make sure that all the crops get equal exposure to natural sunlight which helps us maximize the freshness of all the produce and maintain efficiency across a large area. The factory will be designed with high flexibility and agility to match market demand while delivering the highest levels of product quality and safety.
