Geekvape invests several billion yuan to build an intelligent manufacturing industrial park in China’s Greater Bay Area

UAE announces 998 new COVID-19 cases, 1,559 recoveries, 1 death in last 24 hours

ABU DHABI, The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced that it conducted 309,312 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

In a statement, the Ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment. As part of its intensified testing campaign, MoHAP announced 998 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 715,394.

According to the Ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care.

MoHAP also announced 1 death due to COVID-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 2,036.

The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished COVID-19 patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 1,559 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 700,548.

Women make over 25 percent of the total workforce in Tawazun Holding: Tareq Al Hosani

ABU DHABI, Women make over 25 percent of the total workforce in Tawazun Holding, while accounting for 10 percent of technical and technology related jobs in the company, said Tareq Abdulraheem Al Hosani, Chief Executive Officer of Tawazun Economic Council.

He added that Tawazun Holding’s management believes in the important role of women and seeks to provide opportunities for them to develop their technical and administrative capabilities, in order to contribute to the company’s growth.

Mohammed bin Rashid meets with Kuwait’s PM on sidelines of Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership

DUBAI, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, met on Saturday with H.H. the Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on the sidelines of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership being held in the Iraqi capital.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and H.H. Sheikh Sabah discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations in the best interests of the two countries, as well as several regional and international issues of mutual interest.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed hailed the significant role Kuwait plays on various issues of the Arab region, highlighting the strong fraternal ties between the two countries and the fraternal Emirati and Kuwaiti people.

He also wished permanent security, stability and progress for Kuwait and its generous people.
