Havana: A 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck western Cuba on Monday, causing buildings to shake in the capital city of Havana and several nearby areas. There have been no immediate reports of casualties or material damage resulting from the seismic event.
According to Emirates News Agency, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of approximately 10 kilometers in waters west of Havana. The tremor was felt across the region, leading to temporary panic among residents and prompting emergency services to be on alert.
