FNC and Montenegro Parliament Delegation Discuss Parliamentary Cooperation

Budva: Maryam Majid bin Theneya, Second Deputy Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC) and Chair of the FNC Parliamentary Division at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), met with Dejan urovic, Head of the Parliament of Montenegro delegation to PAM, on the sidelines of the 1st Summit of Speakers and Presidents of Parliament of PAM Member and Partner States held in Budva, Montenegro.

According to Emirates News Agency, Maryam Theneya praised the organisation of the summit and the hospitality offered by the Parliament of Montenegro to the delegations. She highlighted the evolving relations between the UAE and Montenegro, underscoring the need to enhance parliamentary and bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic and investment sectors.

Both delegations emphasised the importance of protecting freedom of navigation and international waterways. They noted that current regional tensions impact not only regional security and stability but also global energy markets, international trade, and the stability of the global economy.

Dejan urovic underscored the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in managing regional crises and preventing escalation. He also highlighted the role of education in promoting dialogue and understanding among peoples.
