Maktoum Bin Mohammed Engages in Strategic Dialogue with Cartier CEO

Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance, recently held a meeting with Louis Ferla, Chief Executive Officer of Cartier, a leader in the luxury jewellery and watch sector. The meeting focused on exploring collaborative opportunities in the UAE's luxury goods and retail sector.

According to Emirates News Agency, discussions highlighted the supportive business environment the UAE offers, which facilitates global brands in expanding their presence. The UAE's approach, which emphasizes partnerships and views the private sector as vital for economic growth, was also underscored during the meeting.

Further topics included Dubai's reputation as a premier global destination for luxury retail. The city's infrastructure, commercial and tourism ecosystem, and flexible policies continue to draw international brands seeking regional expansion.

Innovation and design's role in enhancing competitiveness were also discussed, along with evolving consumer trends and the importance of creating integrated retail experiences to meet global standards.

The meeting saw participation from Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs; Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism; and Hala Badri, Director-General of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.
