Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, recently welcomed a delegation from the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) at Al Nakheel Palace. During this meeting, updates on development projects and strategic plans for the Al Dhafra Region were discussed, with a focus on initiatives leading up to 2030.
According to Emirates News Agency, the session highlighted significant growth in visitor numbers and hotel sector revenues, marking an upward trend in tourism performance indicators. The discussions included the Tal Moreeb master plan and initiatives aimed at enhancing heritage and cultural sites, as well as programs dedicated to archaeological findings at Al Dhafra Fort.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed reiterated the leadership's commitment to supporting projects that enhance Al Dhafra Region's status as a center for Emirati heritage and culture.
