Ajman: H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, along with H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, attended the graduation ceremony of Ajman University's 'Proud of UAE' Cohort. The event took place at the Sheikh Zayed Centre for Conferences and Exhibition on the university campus.
According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Humaid conferred an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities upon Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence. This marks the first honorary doctorate awarded by the university, recognizing Sheikh Nahyan's significant contributions to higher education, scientific research, and the establishment of knowledge institutions that have bolstered the UAE's development.
The ceremony began with the arrival of the Ruler of Ajman, the Crown Prince, and their delegation, followed by the UAE national anthem and a recitation from the Holy Quran. H.H. Sheikh Humaid commended Sheikh Nahyan's efforts in advancing the education sector and promoting knowledge and cultural initiatives, positioning the UAE as a hub for knowledge and cultural openness.
H.H. Sheikh Humaid also congratulated the graduates and their families, acknowledging their perseverance and dedication.
