Kuwait city: Ras Al Khaimah Government Media Office (RAKGMO) and the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) recently celebrated the completion of the first edition of the Junior Reporter Programme, a collaborative initiative designed to empower young media talents and enhance youth involvement in storytelling in the region.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Junior Reporter Programme was launched in October 2025 and involved 10 university students who covered more than 15 events and initiatives throughout Ras Al Khaimah during the academic year. The students were also involved in the UAE's main event calendar, allowing them to extend their journalistic reach to major national developments.

The recognition ceremony included awards for excellence in storytelling, audience impact, and content contribution. AURAK students who supported Heart of RAK beyond the formal program were also acknowledged. Attendees included Heba Fatani, Director General of RAKGMO, and Professor Bassam Alameddine, President of AURAK, along with students, parents, and faculty members, highlighting the partnership's emphasis on integrating academic learning with practical media experience.
