Abu dhabi: Typhoon Saudel made landfall in Taizhou, in China's eastern Zhejiang province, at 8.05 am (0005 GMT), the national forecaster said on Friday. Authorities have issued a red alert for the typhoon, which they expect to impact Zhejiang and neighboring Fujian province with heavy rainfall.
According to Emirates News Agency, local emergency services are on high alert as they prepare for potential flooding and disruption caused by the typhoon. Residents in the affected areas have been advised to stay indoors and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
Furthermore, transportation services in and around Taizhou have been adjusted, with several flights and train services canceled or delayed to prevent any accidents. Schools and businesses in the region remain closed as a precautionary measure.
