Abu dhabi: EDGE signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Nicomatic to establish a strategic cooperation framework for the local supply of advanced connector technologies at the Make it in the Emirates 2026. The agreement aims to bolster the local production and supply of high-performance connectors essential for reliable signal and power transmission across advanced defense systems.
According to Emirates News Agency, the LOI was signed in the presence of Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE. The signing was carried out by Julien Nicollin, Group CEO of Nicomatic, and Ahmed Al Khoori, SVP, Strategy and Excellence at EDGE. This collaboration seeks to anchor specialised capabilities within the UAE, thereby fostering the development of a resilient and integrated industrial ecosystem while accelerating localisation across key subsystems.
