Abu dhabi: Mansoor Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi, emphasized the need for health systems that are predictive and preventive to ensure sustainable outcomes. He highlighted that in a complex and uncertain world, health serves as a unifying force connecting nations, communities, and individuals.
According to Emirates News Agency, Mansoori's statement, made on the occasion of World Health Day observed annually on April 7, underscored the importance of health systems that anticipate risks, act early, and sustain delivery under all conditions. He stressed that such systems should not only treat illnesses but also maintain well-being, protect communities, and support stability.
The theme for this year's World Health Day, 'Together for health. Stand with science,' serves as a call to action for shared responsibility in advancing health. Mansoori remarked that it underscores the necessity of collaboration and trust in translating scientific discoveries into meaningful progress for populations globally.
At the heart of this endeavor is the concept of intelligent health, which relies on integrated data and targeted scientific discovery to enable earlier interventions and deliver precise care. Mansoori emphasized that advancing this future requires cross-border collaboration among governments, industry, and academia to build the necessary infrastructure and trust to turn data into actionable insights.
He concluded by asserting that through collective efforts in standing with science and scaling intelligence, there is potential to transition from episodic care to continuous health, establishing a new global standard for resilient, equitable, and sustainable health systems.
